Town #3: Wilmington & VT 9

Downtown Wilmington Downtown Wilmington, Route 9

Wilmington is the first sizeable town on Vermont Route 100, coming from the state line. The village is on Vermont 9, Vermont's main east -west road in the south, and there are big hills to climb in both directions. This road is also called the Molly Stark Trail, she was a famous Vermont Revolutionary War General's hardy pioneering wife. This route connects Windham to Brattleboro and is also called the Molly Stark Trail. Here is where most people will probably access VT 100 north, from the east or the west, for their ski vacations. Route 9 is probably the road and this is town most people will use to get to Route 100, unless you live south of there in the Berkshires.
